Longivity : 20 to 30 years
Âdult Age : 2 to 3 years old

Size and weight:  38 cm,  170 to 180 g.

I am very intelligent and very affectionate and love to play. I am full of energy and have a love for life. I love human companionship, and I am easily tamed. Training and tricks have great results on me. I also love to be part of the family, even though I sometimes choose one person over other members of the family. I need to be well socialized and educated and will have a great relationship with the whole family. I am not a biter, I would rather push you away than bite. When I reach adolescence, I can become very stubborn and noisy. Training will be important to help diminish these behaviors.

I am able to occupy myself alone. Small things can keep me busy for hours. But you must know that this does not mean I like solitude and routine. I can be very noisy when not understood. Please talk to me during my young stage in life to help communicate and not scream. My capacity to speak will vary enormously between individuals.

Like all my parrot friends I need and love to chew. If I have enough toys, the less I will feel the need to destroy your things. I love to try and find surprises you may have hidden in my cage. This will keep me quiet and occupied. I really love water, give me baths 3 times a week or more, but not in the evening or I my catch cold and become sick. Be careful of toilettes, dishwater, baths, showers, since I love water, its like a magnet for me.

I am mainly green, brighter on the upper body. My face and head are blue. The shade of blue can vary from one individual to another. Around my eyes is a bright white cercle and my feet are pink.

I am around 37 cm from my head to the tip of my tail. My weight is around 180 grams. I can live an average of 20 to 30 years of age. My latin name is Aratinga Acuticaudata.

I am mainly from a large part of South America and also the North East of Columbia and the northern region of Venezuela, North-East of Brasil, we can also be found in Florida, USA.
